Aim and Scope
Journal of Sustainable Habitat publishes articles on diverse aspects of planning for sustainable habitats. The journal adopts the transdisciplinary approach to address the challenges of human habitats, providing a platform for disseminating the ideas across disciplines which inter alia include urban and regional planning, policy analysis, urban science and engineering, urban economics, human and economic geography, environment, architecture, sociology, anthropology, anthropology, political science and urban history.
The primary aim of the journal is to promote research in habitat studies devoted to examine the pressing challenges of human settlements in this digital age shaped by information, innovation and adaptation. The journal encourages researches on the contemporary issues which have global, national and sub-national relevance for habitat planning, development and management across both the hemisphere. The journal publishes Viewpoints that are write ups, shorter in nature, summative in literature review, and offering a particular argument that could potentially generate debates among scholars and practitioners. The journal also accepts Reviews of Books that contest, highlight or narrate the policies and planning interventions on human settlements across the globe.
Types of Articles
1. Research Articles: Original unpublished research articles with a maximum of 8000 words.
2. Review Articles: Exhaustive review of state-of-the-art practices and research work limited to 8000 words.
